We are pleased to announce the opening of the new Sphynx Alexandria Residential sim, designed and constructed by Nieuport General Contracting. This Graeco-Roman themed sim features the art and architecture of ancient classical times, with modern comforts and amenities. The focus of this inspiring sim is the raised Acropolis, crowned with a Parthenon-inspired temple with authentic Roman mosaic dance floor, stylized Corinthian columns and glass skylights that are perfect for stargazing. The Acropolis is the community area of this sim and open to all residents as well as the public. This truly is one of the most romantic locales in Second Life to take in a gorgeous sunset.
This sim also features four custom homes designed for Sphynx Alexandria by Nieuport General contracting. To the north are two lovely homes designed by NGC Architect Gubatah Tigerpaw which emulate the Mediterranean warmth and open air of a Tuscan villa. Adorned with mosaics, beautiful tile work, open-air reflecting pools, and private balconies with breathtaking views, these homes will be sure to please even the most discriminating tastes.
To the south are two more homes, designed by NGC Lead Architect & Founder, Hunter Nieuport. The inspiration for these homes came from restorations of historical homes and buildings as they used to exist in ancient Pompeii. The Villa Amalfi, based on a wealthy merchant's home in ancient Pompeii, features a vaulted ceiling, central foyer with skylights, and an ocean-front balcony with covered portico. The Villa Sorrento, based on a Pompeiian urban home is a two-story house with two-tiered ocen-front balconies, and two glassed-in porticos on the second floor.
The homes in Sphynx Alexandria are now available to rent, and each have a generous alotment of prims available to tenants to comfortably furnish these homes. For further questions on renting these homes, please contact William Zeta.
